Mixed Metal Earrings / Rectangle Hoop Earrings

Mixed metals, copper and silver, are the signature feature of all of the earrings in my ‘Freedom’ collection. I form the copper and then use a torch to solder with silver, then hammering, antiquing, and polishing to finish. Each shape is joined with that one dot of silver representing beginnings and endings. This pair has wire wrapped swirly blue beads for a boho accent. They are as unique as you are.

The Freedom Collection was borne during a personally challenging time in the fall/winter 2016, when someone was determined to try and undermine my self-worth with bullying, insults, and hardest of all, the withholding of unconditional love.  Bold shapes and mixed metals, using torch and hammer, all with a single silver bead connecting past to present coming full circle.  Endings and beginnings.  To me this collection represents empowerment, self-worth, courage, integrity, boldness, loss and love.  Wearing Freedom reminds me that I am exactly who I am supposed to be.  Putting them on is like putting on an ancient talisman or amulet.  They remind me that I am lovable, I am enough.  You are, too.  Be bold, be free.
